Is there such a thing as too much change

I am not really asking this question because honestly I dont want to know if it is!!!! I just thought it was a cool title!

Anyway, On top of Getting married in like 58 days, and closing on a house in about 30 days I just resigned from my job of 3 years (the one I can basically do with my eyes closed)! My only job since I graduated! I got a new job on Long Island -- GOODBYE LIRR -- and I am really excited for the new challenge it is presenting to me! This also means less LIW time starting May 17th!!!

So there is a whole new me coming about starting May 12 (my last day at my current job) I will have a new job, a new home, a new marital status, a new last name....its a whole new me.....

(I think my FH is more nervous than I am, change is not his thing so I think the thought of all the changes in my life have him twitching)

Keep your fingers crossed for me that its not too much of a good thing! Just wanted to share with my LIW friends!!!!

I think you are about to go through a bunch of the top ten life stresses in the next couple of months. They are all exciting and good things so you should be fine, overwhelmed maybe, but good at the end!!

That's A LOT of change. I wish you luck and I am sure you are strong enough to handle it all. So many exciting things happening though

Thanks Christine, you are completely right! I can totally recognize that! It was actually a hard decision to take the job because of that! But I think its a great thing and I am really excited to see how it all pans out!


ETA: my friend said all I need is to wind up preggo and I have the top 4 life altering things going on all at once!!!
That is one thing I am sure wont happen!!

Thats a lot of changes at once but they all seem like positive changes.
Tell us about your new job!

Thanks Julz! I am leaving a position as a proposal manager at a great engineering firm in NYC. I actually like my job, I am not leaving because I didnt like it or because of any of the people!

I am going to Cablevision as a Senior Marketing Coordinator. The biggest reasons for leaving are that my job no longer has much growth or learning potential and the commute (we just bought a house in Centereach, thats a hike from NYC)
but I am really excited! Its a really good position and the people seem really nice so we will see!!!

It was really difficult to resign today! I have been there for 3 years and know alot of people its hard to say goodbye because I have to be honest there are alot of these people who I wont ever talk to again. But I know this move is really good for me and my future! I also found out I was a pretty important person (I warranted an email informing all 'higher ups' of my decision -- that was actually a nice pat on the back, especially when I am getting emails and calls from our other offices wishing me luck )
