Hi everyone- Is it a bad idea to have two songs for our 1st dance....
I want to incorporate our Hispanic heritage and start with a traditional slow song, but then cut into a Spanish song...
So we will have two songs as our 1st dance..... am I crazy?

we are having two songs.... 1st one is the official wedding song and second is our song since we've been together

I swear thats what FH wanted to do too (exceppt with a Greek song)

I think it's a great idea, we were thinking of doing something similar. My FH is Cuban, and we were trying to get some of that heritage into our wedding.

Why not? I think it's a great idea...but are you going to have people join you? Two songs dancing alone will seem like a looooong time when you're out there with everyone staring at you!

OH Thanks you guys!! I thought I was nut for this!!!
Im not sure if we will have the rest of the bridal party join us. It was a thought for them to come in and dance on the spanish song- just cause it would look cute....
What songs have you ladies picked for your 1st dance... FH and I can not agree!

our band wanted to do this, but hubby's dancing skills are..............think of a caveman in a disco? He actually did amazing when the moment came, it was like Clark Kent turning into Superman. I was really proud of him, because our one dance lesson was a disaster! He says....'I was ignoring the music so I could learn the steps'

Welcome and congrats. That is a great idea. You would be suprise alot of brides are doing this. Making the first dance very memorable go for it.!!!

Its a GREAT idea..and a lot of couples are doing it..
I've also heard of having one song in the beginning and then having a 2nd song played right after the cake cutting
