Is this a good price?!?!

Went to my first photographer today. Here is the quote I got...
$3000 TOTAL (incl tax) for...
1-Reversible Bridal album w/ 40 photos
2-parent's albums with 12 photos each
2-portfolios (it has 1 big pic in the center and two smaller ones on each side, kind of stands open like book/picture frame) with 1 8x10 each
1-11x14 portrait
2-8x10 portraits
8-5x7 portraits
90-wallets and thank you's
ALL proofs and ALL negetives.

I also saw their video, but the pkg best for me (w/1 DVD and 3 VHS) was $1800 and I was not all that impressed with it.

Do you think that photo package is a good price? FH and I agreed that we are not into the 3 or 4 big portraits. I am thinking of removing the 2-8x10's. I picked the 5x7's for aunts and uncles, but could remove them too.

HELP! Any advice? After I told FH the $, he said 'Do we HAVE to have video?' I told him no, we did not HAVE to, but I want it. And I am sure we can get video elsewhere cheaper.

That definitely sounds like a good price for photography BUT it still depends on a couple of things:

1 - how many photographers are you getting?

2 - will they do b/w, photojournalism, traditional, candids, and color?

3 - how many hours of coverage does that pkg include?

4 - how many proofs are you being promised, minimum?

5 - How many years of experience do they have and do you absolutely LOVE their work?

2 - will they do b/w, photojournalism, traditional, candids, and color? photojournalism is more --$750, but if I wanted special things, like a B&W pic we can do that w/ regular shots.

3 - how many hours of coverage does that pkg include? 10hrs

4 - how many proofs are you being promised, minimum? Did not get those details, I assume that would be put on a contract

5 - How many years of experience do they have and do you absolutely LOVE their work? they have been in business 30 yrs. I was blown away an album I saw at a showcase this past week at my hall

I forgot to add, the photographer company is Cassarino. I want to find out who shot the album I saw at the showcase, b/c it was AMAZING. I was told that BEFORE the wedding, I will get to meet with the photographer to go over wants and such, get a feel for each other and work out the plans for the day of the wedding.
