Is this a good shower gift?

For my DH's cousins baby shower this weekend, I bought a pair of overalls, a turtleneck, a pair of socks to match and for the wishing well a package of small bottles.
I had a ton more that I wanted to get but my DH made me put it back bc of $$. He said 'why should we go overboard with them when they were cheap to us for our wedding'. They gave us $100 for our wedding. I don't care, I just wanted to get a nice gift for the baby and I don't see anything wrong w what they gave us. Should I get a little more? I feel so cheap.
