Is this a scam?

Got a call from some century 21 or twenty one century , bridal something? Saying I won something? anyone hear of them?

It is NOT a scam

They do not lie

They are vendors on this board

I have been to their presentation and you DO walk out with the vacation

No you do NOT have to buy a thing

It's marketing not SCAMING

SCAMing is saying you'll do something and lying about it.

This is just a marketing ploy.

Are they gonna guarentee me a vacation and then I can only use it for five weeks out of 52 and leave only on a thursday, return only on a tuesday and pay $50 to hold the vacation which must be used within 4 months kinda thing?

Actually no.

You can use it whenever you want. You send $25 in and book the vacation. And it's good all year. Or pay $25 to extend it to the following year.

We didnt use it cause we didnt want to. We wanted to see what they had to offer. We believe that every working Joe deserves a chance to try to sell us something, doesn't mean we'll buy. Our guys were really nice and professional. They got beat up by the other couples in the group. I won't speak on their products, because hey.. that's WHY they bother with this.

I just know from experience that it's a tough market. They do what they can. They EXPECT you not to use their free offer because so many think it's a 'scam'. I used to work as a Marketing director, we gave out all sorts of promotional items vouchers. Really had the stuff too. RARELY did anyone actually turn them in. I don't know why. I even picked the stuff out. It was good stuff.

Anyhow from that I feel for these guys. *shrug* Your call. Im just saying that calling it a SCAM is unfair.

A marketing ploy?? ABSOLUTELY but isnt every one trying to do that anyhow? I got so much crap for Atlantis Limos if I could recycle the paper I'd use them for my INVITES! It's the business. *shrug*

What I dont like is them saying your name was picked from a drawing you entered, thats not true, my name was sold as direct marketing..if they told me that there was a marketing group or visit before hand, Id be happier..thanks!

Also i heard, you go there look at pots and pans and home stuff and really pressure you to buy.

And thatpulling the name out of a hat...when i asked how many people win this they said 35% of the people who attended the bridal expo i went to..

Then why do i win every other month!!!
