Is this a Scam???

Hey Girls,
I went to this bridal expo at the Huntington Hilton & supposedly won a door prize. The prize is from 21st Century Todays Bride. Here are the details:
*3 days/2nts in a choice of 20 locations (She said there is no timeshare presentation)
*$500 gift certificate for the world of America catalog
*20-40% off their products (with no obligation to buy)

***To receive this prize we must go to the Hilton & give them our opinion on some products such as china, pots, etc. She said it wouldn't take more that 1 1/2 hours & we'd have to answer a survey w/10 questions.

OK, so that's the deal..What do you ladies think. Has anyone else gone to this thing & is it worth it or is it a SCAM?

Complete Scam - they do it everywhere. Almost everyone who goes - they call. I live in Jersey and supposedly won, so did my friend who came with me.

There were a lot of posts about this recently since the bridal expo just happened. I also got that phone call and after talking with several girls on LIW and checking out consumer reports, I can confidently say it's a HUGE scam and some girls even reported that their ccredit was ruined by it

Yeah I got that call today, knowing already that it was a scam. It was funny because the woman was trying to get me all excited about it and I was like oh ok whatever. I kept thinking that I should say that I know it's a scam, lol.
I also just posted to see if anyone had accepted the so called prizes just to see what happened. I have no intentions of going to get my lovely prizes.

ooh they called me too. What a scam after i listened to her sitting she tells me I have to come that day. But shed be more than happy to put my name back on the list for when they come back around. As soon as I heard 'timeshare' i did everything I could not to hang up on her

I thought it sounded fishy...SOOO Glad I didn't waste my Saturday on it! FH would've killed me...he said it was a scam all along but me 'Miss Optimistic' still had a lil hope! Uggh I hate it when he's right! hahaha

YES scam

we went! if u stay for the whole thing and decline these 'wonderful' pots and pans you can get a free hotel stay bu they try to dupe ya in

the pots are like 400-500

Our friend went before and got duped. He found the same pots online cheaper and they refused to cancel his order.

Yeah, I hated that too! The girl on the phone was like, wooww, you're so calm, usually people get excited when they win free vacations and i'm like yeah, but the difference between me and them is that I know this is bullsh!t

scam! and i've gotten like 15 phone calls from them already. it's actually really annoying. between them, and other weird vendors I never gave my # to I don't answer my phone anymore unless I know the #.
