Got a message on my voicemail last night from JM Wedding Center that I had 'won a honeymoon.' Did this happen to any of you guys when you signed up and if so, is it a scam? Not to sound like a skeptical NYer...but, okay, I am!

I am thinking scam too. One of my friends got a trip from one of these places to Mexico and it was the worst. Even if the trip is free check out which hotels and flights they are trying to put you on. They literally checked out of the hotel and just ended up paying to stay at a HYatt.

Yeah - thats what I figured....but I started getting all these emails after I signed up on this board for the contest and I know I put my work # down so I thought maybe it was legit if associated with liweddings.com. Guess not.

I GOT THE SAME MESSAGE! I deleted it. If it sounds too good to be true- IT IS. I have gotten more mail & phone calls since I signed up on this sight :(. I checked off not to opt-in, but I guess LIWeddings sold me out anyway.

I've received a few phone calls like this from the bridal building in manhattan. If you sign up on their website, I think it's like an automatic instinct for them to call you with that crap... lol I usually just hang up on them if they get me or I just erase their messages on my v-mail. It's sooo annoying have to get those calls! URRRRRR!!!!!

My sister got that type of call after she went to a Bridal expo a few weeks ago. sounds like a scam.

Scam, we got those messages when we first got engaged. I went to the BBB and found a huge list of complaints about the company.

Yes if you go they will try to sell you knives or something that is over priced.. IGNORE them..

That is why I tell everyone if they go to a bridal show, NOT to put your name in those drawings for a free trip..there is NOTHING FREE about it.

they left 3 messages on my machine and the 4th time they called it was 8:30 at night.
she said i won from signing up at a show, ordered a magazine, signed up on some web site etc..
you get the idea

I won almost the same thing here in Florida! I said thanks but no thanks and hung up
