I was just rehashing in my head all the options for BM dresses and all the colors....and I really don't give a flying what color they are....(only have in mind what colors I will NOT pick!!)
So would it be crazy to put all of my BMs in the same dress but in different pastel colors? I'm thinking this because my MOH liked peach, one BM liked lilac, my jr. BM liked sky blue, so I thought, hey why not do all of them in the same dress but different colors? I could also mix in pink, light green or yellow and remain in the spring category.
Would this look too busy???

I like that idea. I think it could look lovely. I would check out how each color would look with each other though. I am doing the (sort of) opposite. They are all in different Bill Levkoff 2 piece sets in the same color - navy. There are too many different body types to deal with and I would rather my friends feel more comfortable than have me dictate to them what style to wear. One is a tank style top, one is strapless, one is v neck and fitted etc...I think its great to be a little open minded if it doesn't bother you.

a girl at works sister did the 'rainbow' (as she dubbed it) and it was very beautiful and soft. But i think that is one of those things that you really need to focus on - choose one wrong shade and it would probably throw everything off.

I think it sounds beautiful. I am sure the BP will feel better in their best color!! As someone already mentioned, just make sure the colors look good together!

No I have seen this done many times - and as long as you choose right it can be very pretty - like pink, yellow, pale green and lavender all flows nice

Welcome to the 70's and rainbow weddings! lol. I heard that this trend is coming back. I've seen pictures, and it's not for me, but I say if you like it, go for it. Also, I've seen all the girls in the same dress, but in different shades of the color (many designers have 4 shades of a color). I liked that look better. Just an idea.

That would eb gorgeous that way you could give everyone a color ot match their coloring and you could use beautiful mixed floral bo-ks. My mom had her BM's do this at her wedding. Same dress, different colors

No... I have seen this done before in pics...You should post on the BHB board for the 'rainbow bridal party'.... I'm sure someone there will have a few pics to share and you can get a better idea if this is something you want! But, not insane at all!!

My SIL did this. We all had the same dress, it was very audrey hepburn like, classic and plain. I had periwinkle, her sister (MOH) had lavender, the other two BMs had ice blue and a light green.
In some of the pictures it was hard to tell that we had different colors because the colors were all of the same value AND the photog stunk (they got married in Cape Cod). He did not take pics in light that highlighted the colors - the dress colors were all washed out in a lot of pics.
However, in real life it looked great. She wanted 'Monet' colors.
ETA: The guys all wore the same tuxes and did not match the girl's colors. They had black vests or grey or something, I don't remember, but they were all the same.

Actually, my MOM did this in 1976 and I would DEFINITELY consider it today! I always admired how her BMs looked when I was growing up looking at her wedding album!
