Ok - I've been having so many issues with bmaids and paying for stuff. I'm like afraid to approach them with anything!!
So the place I want to go for bridesmaid dresses requires that they pay for the dresses in full at the time of purchase. Whenever I've been in a wedding, it's been leave a deposit and pay for the other half when it comes in or whatever.
Do you think this will be an issue? Should I warn them ahead of time?

Could be.
Just let them know what the deal is. They'll just have to deal with it.

I would definitely tell them in advance. When do you need to order them? I would tell them as soon as possible so they can start saving.

as long as they know in advance hopefully there wont be an issue... but i would also pick a maximum price you are going to ask of them...

I think it could be an issue. Is there a reason you want to go to this specific place? If it's the cheapest then i'd explain that to them.

Honestly? I'd look elsewhere. I wouldn't pay for them in full in advance.........god forbid they come in wrong....then what?

I would let them know, the place I order my BM dress required half deposit, the other half when the picked up their dress.

Re: Is this an issue???
I originally picked out a dress but it is rather expensive.
I felt bad, so I wanted to give them some cheaper options, so I found a place that carries my #1 pick as well as some other less expensvie ones.
I just found out that this is their Ordering policy! I am going to ask what the latest they can order is so this way if they can't pay the entire thing the day we go, they can save up and call later!
thanks girls!

Re: Is this an issue???
if any of them have issues with paying it upfront, maybe you could loan them the money?

Is it Priscilla of Boston? This is their policy and my girls got their dresses here - it wasn't an issue. They call it a 100% deposit . . . um, that is just paying for the dress.

I dont know. Me personally, I wouldn't have a problem with that. We had to pay up front at David's for the dress and none of us had any complaints.

This is what I'm doing with my girls. I'm getting the dresses from David's Bridal and they require you to pay in full when you order the dresses. I told them if they don't have all the money at the time, I'll put out the difference and they can pay me back whenever. I have complete trust in them, so it wouldn't be a problem getting the money back. I know David's isn't super expensive, but I know sometimes it's easier to spread things out than pay all at once.
