IS THIS AN URBAN LEGEND OR TRUE?

I got an emai not to lick envelopes a woman did, it cut her tongue, she got an infection, gross side effects, went to a dr and it turned out from bacteria in the envelope there were 'ROACH EGGS' and a cockroach was there and breeded in moisture

has anyone heard this? Or know how to check it is an urban legend or not?? I am curious

the email said its true but a lot of urban legends say its true and it is not

go to www.snopes.com and do a search. It does sound like an urban legend to me.

I know it's an urban legend, but I never lick envelopes.

That may be an urban legend, but I'm pretty sure there are certain things one should not lick.

Roach eggs or not, you just don't know where those envelopes have been and who or what have touched them....I'm a glue stick chick!

I use scotch tape or that glue stick that looks like a bingo bopper/marker

i also remember the seinfeld episode where georges fiance was licking envelopes and died

I got that e-mail a few years ago and ever since then I use the envelope sealer bottle with then sponge tip
