is this appropriate for a wedding song...

i heard this song and loved it and thought it would be perfect for me and FH's first dance. then i looked at the lyrics (because you never hear EVERYTHING when you just listen) and i realized that i THINK it's about a mother having a child??? but i can't quite be sure...what do you guys think?? advice, please!!!! you ladies are the 'Experts' on everything wedding-related.

To me these lines do sound like it's from a mother to a child - but honestly I don't think anyone will disect the song when you dance to it... The'll be touched by the chorus IMO.....

I agree as well. There are beautiful words there about love and loyalty and togetherness, and the song would be very appropriate for a wedding.

Besides that, it's YOUR wedding - you make the rules! Pick the song you love and don't look back!
