My FH's birthday is next weekend, and I was thinking of bringing him a cake or a pregnant cannoli to work to celebrate with his coworkers. Is this sweet or is this the type of embarassing cheesy thing a mother does to her kid?
Also, his birthday is on a sunday, so I'm not sure whether I should bring it to him Saturday or Monday. I'm thinking Saturday because I am celebrating with him Saturday night since Sunday is mother's day.

Re: Is this cheesy?
It depends on if your FH is the kind to get embarrassed by the attention and what his work environment is.
If it's a super professional office where no one really celebrates birthdays and coworkers aren't really friends, I wouldn't do it.
If the office regularly does this sort of thing and your FH loves attention, he may like it.
I can only speak for my FH who is super shy that he hates that sort of thing. He is okay being surprised among friends but coworkers are a diff story.
We work together and our office does the whole sing happy birthday with a cake and last year FH begged me not to tell anyone that his birthday is coming up.
