is this cheesy? too wordy?

i combined popular rehearsal dinner invite wording.
i want it to say something about how its not only a quick run through but also a time to say thank you to the bridal party and our parents. suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

Sam popped the question
and Sally said 'Yes!'
All the planning is over
from the hall to the dress!
Only one thing remains
for this day to be great,
'Practice makes Perfect'
Although it's true what they say,
Believe it or not, we are not worried that
you will walk down the aisle backwards on that day
We also want to express our appreciation
to each of you at this time so
Please join the bride and groom
Before the big day!

I think it's great....just one thing....it started out as a poem in the beginning then stopped. What about something like this? Just a suggestion! I love it!

sounds nice

is it only the BP being invited? Or are your OOT guests being invited too?
That might change what wording is appropriate.

just the BP and parents and the ring-bearers and jrs' parents. you are right- that would affect the wording! i dont really need invites but thought it would be fun for them to get too when the wedding invites go out. : )
