Is this cheesy? W/POLL

I am getting married at Martha Clara Vineyard which is owned by the Entemann Family (ya know - the donut and cake people?). In fact, our reception will be facing their mansion.

Do you think it would be cheesy or fun to include on our dessert table all kinds of Entemann's desserts (although they sold the bakery a long time ago but that doesn't matter right?) ?

I LOVE the banana crunch cake and of course it will save us $$

Of course this is in addition to our cake (or should it be in place??) I don't know - that's why I am asking you girls!!

OH- and on the menu I will explain why.

Not cheesy at all. Remember its your wedding. I am all for doing this differently. Keeping a wedding cake is up to you. But def go for it!!!

I think its a good idea. JMO I wouldnt do it in place of the wedding cake, but I would def. have them on the tables!

Not a bad idea, depending on how you go about it, but I think an even better way to go would be to maybe include entemann's desserts in your favors....

I think it's a great idea -

I love the banana crunch cake too. My sister and I used to open the box, grab two forks and go at it! Didn't even bother with plates and we would always eat the entire thing!

I went to a wedding there in Sept '03. I had no idea it was the entemann family. That's a great idea for desserts. You may want to include a little sign on the table explaining the history.

I think that's an awesome idea. Who doesn't love Entemans? It would be great if you put the history right on the table though.

Do you mean have the box of entenmenns on the tables? or out of the box? and they are big how would you display them? on a tier tray cut into slices of different pieces of cakes?
