Is this considered cheating?

Is this considered cheating?

I am on the Long Island alumni board for the college I graduated from. A guy that graduated in my year just moved to Hauppauge from Boston, and got my email address and emailed to say maybe I could give him a tour sometime because he doesn't know anyone on Long Island. I didn't know the guy in college, and it would obviously be platonic if I do respond and offer to show him around. I think FH would overreact (partly because he never had platonic girl friends as I have guy friends...). Should I or shouldn't I?

it's not cheating but since FH will overreact -- you answered your own question

I don't see how that's cheating at all.

Could your FH accompany you and this guy on the tour? That might set his mind at ease.

That is tough. My DH has tons of girlfriends and vice versa. I think that if it is something that you want to do then do it, but tell your FH. If you don't and he happens to find out he might think something else is going on.

That is a good idea! I think he would only be upset thinking we were alone together...

I would not technically say its cheating - however I use the standard - if I can't tell my DH then I just would not do it!
