Is this crazy of me?

I am getting marrie din 2 1/2 months. I now live with my parents and I dont want to move out of my house. FI wants to buy a house and Im scared b/c I dont want to move out and be away form my parents. Is this crazy of me? My family and I are very close.

well, haven't you given this any thought? like you said, you're getting married in 2 1/2 months.

lol, I know dont get me wrong I cant wait to get married!!!! I dontknow if its b/c I am afraid that we arent gonna be able to afford it.

I have a friend (who I love dearly) who is WAY too attached to her parents. Every time some little thing happens she runs home and can't deal with people/situations by herself. I feel bad for her, because it is just going to get harder for her to become independent as she gets older. IMO,its much better if you get adjusted to being away from your parents now before you are married. This way, you can enjoyed your first few months of married life without the extra anxiety.

you are not crazy- you love your parents!!

i had a similar problem when i moved in with fh out here- my parents are 3 hours away. it was a hard adjustment for me- and still is- but we still have a great relationship and i go up there regularly.

everything will work out, just be patient!!

You're not crazy, just anxious about starting a new life. You depended on your family for your entire life and now you will be on your own, starting a family of your own. It's wonderful that you and your family are very close; that family bond will not break just because you will be moving into your own home. Good luck to you.

you're not crazy... i have the same feelings a lot... i don't think that it means you are immature or not ready for a commitment... it just means that you love your parents and are nervous about starting a new life 'without' them....
i feel the same way... i am SOOO close to my parents. they own their own business, so from the time i was 5 or 6 we would all work together as a family and just talk while we were working and got to be really close... and i am going to be 2 hours away from them after the wedding.... FI and i bought a house about 6 months ago and going up there on the weekends and working together to fix it up has made me realize how nice its gonna be having our 'own' place- not that my parents are annoying or anything, but its just nice having a place thats all mine and FIs.... i think once you get your own place with FH, you'll start to get more excited about having a place and a life of your own...
i really don't have any advice for you but just wanted to let you know i know where you're coming from... and i think it will get easier.... just remember your parents will ALWAYS ALWAYS be there for you.....

Well, you lived with them your whole life. I think everyone gets nervous before moving out. My sister and brother both make tons of money and dont want to move out. My sister is too afraid too.

Its o.k. but I really think if you do it you will realize how great it really is!!! Good Luck with your decision.

your not crazy at all I was the same way when I HAD to move out I was living with parents and brothers in a house my parents sold the house and were having a house built in PA so we had to get a n apartmetn and I Was fine at first cuz we were all there except for one brother who joined teh army so it was 5 of us then when it got closer to the time fo rthem to move I was getting scared and nervous not that I was goign to be on my own but that they were so far away. So I know how it is but now I got use to it and its not bad a t all

You're not crazy -- I haven't lived at home for about 7 years, but I still go over my parents' place all the time -- and stay overnight. I dread the idea of not being able to go over there all the time --- I know I still will, but with FH -- and it won't be the same.
