Is this DIY possible?

Hi All,

I wanted to do a DIY table #... what crest hollow is giving us is just a frame with a # on it.... if i had some time (only 2 weeks left) i'd like to do something different so im wondering if i should even try this..

I was wondering if anyone tried to use paper lanterns as table #s?

I was thinking of not writing on the lantern itself, but have a square card stock sticking up from the top of the lantern but i dont know how i'd get it to stay... ... and having LED lights inside the lantern illuminating it..

for my centerpiece i'm having a long cylindrical vase with 4 calalilies encased within the vase and 2 smaller square vases on either side of it with large pink roses in each (now that i've confused you all)....

has anyone done this paper lantern table #?
if so, how ? and would it fit in with my table scape...

below is the lantern i've found... its not very $$, its only $2/lantern for a 6 inch diameter.
