..to wear to a wedding 4th of july weekend? the wedding is in philly.
i only wore this dress once and i really don't feel like buying another dress.
thoughts?
eta: the dress is not that low cut (i had it altered) and short on me. i am no where near as tall as that girl.

definitely as long as you have the right shoes and jewelry you'll be fine.

Re: is this dress fancy enough..
after seeing some of these negative responses im re-thinking my response...
but
it depends on several things
daytime or night time?
philly or outside of philly?
is it on july 4th (which is a Monday btw)?
i went to a wedding in king of prussia last year where most of the girls were dressed in dresses like that one

I think this dress is very cute and would definitely be ok! Especially since you look very petite! Go for it!

i would have to see how you altered the front but i thik this would be ok for a much more casual wedding. i would say no. Do you have any other dresses that are a bit more dressy so you don't have to buy one?

it's just more closed up.. not such a deep v.
i'd have to check my closet, but i guess i'll just buy a new dress.

I think it's fine for a Sunday wedding in Philly.... just wear some great heels and accessorize and you'll be fine!

Also depends how close you are the people getting married. If you barely know them then its easier to get away with a casual look. Looking at the dress alone I would say its not really wedding appropriate. But with the right accessories and heels, it can work.

it's a little casual looking from the photo but if it fits you well and you wear fab jewelry and heels you may be ok. I'm a darker dress for evenings kinda girl.

I think its very cute! Is it white?? I don't think you should even factor the July 4th date into your attire. It's still a wedding, so if this is something you would normally wear to a wedding, I say then go for it. Also you should double check what sort of venue the wedding is at. If it's a more casual setting, this could work. But I would not wear this to a more fancy/formal hall.
It all depends on the way this dress looks on you. In that photo, I think its a bit skimpy for a wedding IMHO.. but it may look completely different on you! Its a cute dress though, maybe wear it to your B-Party!? :)

I dont think its appropriate.. it seems like a lot of chest and leg will be showing and the material isnt very formal.

I think its a little too casual looking. Especially if the wedding is at a hall.
