I realllly don't want to spend a ton of money on a RD, esp. since we aren't having an actual rehearsal! Is it dumb to just have everyone over to either our house or the rental house my mom has for the week and do a cookout or pizza and beer/frozen drinks?

Not at all. We're doing a catered bbq at FIL's house for our RD. I don't want anything fancy for it. I want everyone to hang out, relax, and enjoy themselves. To me, the wedding is about dressing up. Not the RD.

I don't think it's dumb at all. I think that's what we're going to do also. We did it in the backyard for my sis wedding and we all had a blast.

Nope. I wish we could do this but all of our parents live too far from the Hotel where most of the BP and OOT people are staying.

My mom actually suggested this. We'll see though lol. Cuz that'll be umm.. like 40 people at my house lol.
