If you review your initial guest list vs. the actual amount of guests that came to your wedding, is the equation below accurate?
Total # of Guests x .66 then multiply answer by 1.15
ie:
My Guest List is at 195 x .66= 128.7 x 1.15 =
148 expected guests
came across this equation on some random site. I know there is no true way to predict the final number but I was just curious ...

It was off by about 15 people -- but I had about 8 or 10 people that day/week call because to say they couldn't come (all for legitimate reasons). So it really is about 5 off.

I think that happens for everyone--we had people get sick, flake out, and get their apartment trashed by robbers...
We had about 6 people who cancelled last minute.

that equation doesnt really make any sense. its basically telling you 75% of your guests will come, but making you do it in 2 steps

Not accurate for me - invited 310 and had 166 people. According to this equation that would be 235 people. I think it depends on the time of year also. JMO

I think it does it in 2 steps for the A & B lists.

I dont like math. LOL. We invited 175. We ended up with 142. day of we had 140 (both grandpas got sick and couldnt come) We had 1/2 people from NY and 1/2 from out of town- just to give you an idea.
