I want to preserve a small section of my b-ok, but I dont want to use Keepsake Floral or anything like that (we cant afford it). I'm looking for a cheap way to preserve them for a shadow box. Anyone know if this can be done at home or if flower shops can do it for cheap?

Re: Is this even possible??
Someone just asked about this on the newlywed board. I think people talked about Michaels had supplies and books on it.

They sell kits for this type of a thing. Do a google search. Places like Michaels should carry something like that .

go and buy a large bucket in a paint store. The paper kind is good. Then go to michaels or ac moore and buy a large quantity of silica gel. Follow the directions on that. My mom still has her bouquet and it is 27 years old and looks great.

I saw something a while ago. It was a floral preservation kit for $100 at Fantasyland.

My friend did this for her sisters bok and I believe she got a kit at either Michaels or Joanne's craft store. It is a good idea and much more reasonable.
