Is this happening to you?

Do you have people in your family trying to be nice to you all of a sudden to be invited to your wedding? When normally they or you'd walk past them or really not speak to them.

A great-aunt of mine who hasnt had a kind word to say to me suddenly find light in my presence when she heard I was getting married.

I dont hav that with family , but withaquantances & co workers,, its like when u first got your license & got a car & no one else did, all of the sudden u had people around you all the time wanting to hang with you ,,LOL

I DONT KNOW WHY PPL DO THAT??? INVITE WHO YOU CAN AND WANT THERE...... THINGS ARE SO EXPENSIVE THESE DAYS AND YOU CANT CHANGE YOUR PLANS ALL THE TIME BC SOMEONE DECIDES TO BE NICE NOW!!

I am actually experiencing that with someone who I think expects to be in my bridal party.......all of a sudden she is calling me all the time, whereas before, it was me who was doing all of the calling. Hm.

All of a sudden Im looking at my called id and laughing b/c Im seeing names I havent seen in years.

OMG!! YES!!

cousins that i HATE and basically can not stand...we're suddenly calling and wanted to know about the wedding and such, and when the invites were going out!

now i HAVE to invite them, cause my mom says it's the 'right thing to do'

Not with family. . .but with past co-workers and especially the past girl co-workers who want to know exactly what I'm doing so she can do it when it's her turn. That's annoying. . .

Thank god I am not having that experience. Invite who you want. I know I would not invite any family that I have not spoken to in years.

See Im different! Being with FH has helped me cross over to the DARK SIDE. LOL. After all the things I put up with some of them. They can learn about my wedding through the family grape vine. I'll invite the few people I want in my family who have stuck by me no matter what.

Yup. I had that exact thing happen with one of my FH sisters. She expected to be asked to be in the bridal party. We're paying for the entire wedding so he and I have automatic limitations. Yeah she now in it, but heck I thought that was balsy.

Some coworkers have included themselves as guest at my wedding. I don't pay there comments any mind.
