A big thing about FH & I is that we're both die hard baseball fans... but root for different NY teams. which everyone thinks is cute.
FOr my bridal shower favors, my mother bought a ton of these nice 3X5 frames and wanted to put this picture into it:
On them, we were going to write:
'Eric & Caroline, till subways series do us part'
but my mom thinks it might be in poor taste b/c it might insinuate we MIGHT part.
I just think it's a cute play on words...
what do you guys think??

i think its a cute idea! But maybe you guys can take a diffent pic? You cant see the Yankee emblem on FH shirt and hat very well.

I know, I thought of that but that's the only really GOOD ONE we have. Its actually from our civil ceremony in May....(we're already married )
everyone knows he's a big yankee fan... most of the pictures are of him kissing me on the cheek

I think it's funny. If they were for your wedding, I'd think perhaps you'd want to rethink it as it might be a tad sacreligious for the day... but I think it's funny!
ETA - The writing is going on the tag, though, right? Not the frame?
I wouldn't want it on the frame. (1) I wouldn't want that to be permanent, even though it's funny and (2) people will get more use out of the frame if they can put other pics in it.

Being that I'm the yankee fan and FH is the met fan... I can totally understand the play on words and I think it is perfectly fine and cute to write 'part' Cuz I know with us, it's completely true... its a battle back n forth esp during that time and in essence we do 'part'... we're on total opposite ends of the spectrum, but its nothing bad about the rel... I think people would understand and think its funny

it's a fabulous idea.. it says alot about the both of you.. DO IT! it's way cute and nobody is gonna be like OMG THEY'RE GONNA PART OVER THE SUBWAY SERIES. geeeez

I think it's really cute. FH and I have Jets/Giants pics like that and I love them. Anyone who takes it seriously wasn't going to get the joke anyway.
