I don't really expect a full meal - just give me a sample of what you will be serving. I planned on it being me FH and the parents - but they want to charge me $50 each for the dads
for the amount of cash I'm paying - they couldn't throw in 2 more freakin' samples of pasta - sheesh!

That is absolutely ridiculous. I would call back and speak to the manager/owner and talk to them about it.

Very nervy and usually if they charge you they credit you back or take if off the final bill.

ETA - they aren't charging $50 for the dads specifically, but they have a limit of 4 people.
I was going to cut the dads because they don't care as much about the menu. I said that confusingly before.

thats crazy!! my hall requested only 2 come to their food tasting-but I asked if I could bring 6!!! And they said it was ok and never mentioned anything about charging us, if they had I woulda been pi$$ed!!
Definately talk to them about this!

Our limit was a total of 6 - us plus 2 sets of parents. I had to do a little begging for my stepfather to join - I really can't understand how they don't account for extra parents these days!

My Hall doesn't even do tastings! Luckily the Banquet manager said FH & I can eat at their restaurant, on the house, BUT we still have to pay for both of our parents. I think that is ridiculous! You going to be spending 20,000 +, Your tasting should be free!

We had 6 people, and they gave us a 4 course meal for free, and they were happy to do it. Charging $50 for anyone over 4 is ridiculous.

Really?? we got to eat at the resturant WITH our mom's. (We dind't ask for dad's.. they didn't 'care')...
we had a DELISOUS lunch that EASIALLY would have been OVER $250 had we been paying!!!
