Is this normal...

that I don't have the urge to plan right now. I don't know what is happening with me. I feel so tired and stressed out because I'm over worrying about how the heck we're going to pay EVERYTHING off! My FH never worries, he feels like everything will be great and I just don't feel as confident as he does. This is the reason as to why I stopped coming on to LIW because I just feel overwhelmed

Hopefully I'll get back to my normal self and start looking again for a photographer.

Sorry for the vent, just needed to let it out.

it's very normal ... i think everyone here gets stressed about weddings ... ESPECIALLY about paying for our weddings

if you're too stressed to deal with it right now, there's nothing wrong with taking a break from it.

i do agree with your FH though that it will turn out amazingly and you will find a way to pay for it all

Oh I've gotten that. I think it's because you plan so much you get yourself to this state of being totally overwhelmed that you just don't want to deal with anything anymore. I would just take some time off from planning and just relax.

defanitly take a breather. take a step back and spend some time with ur fh... will get u excited when you remind yourself the real reason to this all is your love

oh don't worry i go through this a lot!!!!! im constantly worried about the money and i feel like we shouldn't book anything else until we have all the money to pay for what we've booked so far ( which prob wont happen till 2011).... FH NEVER worries about anything either!!!!! Its good to have someone to calm ur worries...but i def know how u feel... i hadnt booked anything since may and im just starting to do things again... i looked at invitations today and im gonna start looking at dresses... u just gotta sit down and write it all out ... it will make u feel better to see that u can do and that u just have to stick to the savings plan that u guys make!! G-L but don't worry i def feel u!!!

YES! Very normal-because the planning process can become VERY consuming and addictive.

I got engaged in May; planned our engagement party for August and then after that took a 5 month break!! We've been engaged for 8 months now and I'm just getting around to start planning!

I got engaged in July, planned the engagement party and booked reception by September and then took a break until now. Ive been crazy obsessed all week! I think it comes and goes in waves.

Money definitely stresses me out, but everything costs money so just try and enjoy your planning. We set out a budget based on how much we could save every month, and we're sticking to it. Wedding planning is supposed to be sort of fun and exciting, so if you're stressed, take a break, you've got time!, and remember that things will always work out in the end :)

Def! We got engaged in May- over the summer & until November we took care of the church, RH, DJ, photographer/videographer.

While I've been looking at ideas & doing so minor research here and there.. I don't plan on doing an other major planning until May.

I was also getting very stressed. I like to pretend money is something we don't have to worry about.. but then I have moment when I snap back to reality & have a small panic attack over it.

I just try to stay positive & remember that everything will fall into place. Have fun!

totally normal! your FH sounds like my FH! lol its a good balance, but it stresses me out more seeing as how hes not worried about it! I feel i have to worry for 2 people! lol

dont worry about it. take some time off and spend it with FH. Relax. it will all get done and everything will be beautiful!

Weddings are a very stressful time. I worry about money everyday and every night. But you have many many months until your wedding. If you're not feeling into it right now, take a break. If you have your RH booked, you're okay for right now. Take a few weeks off and hopefully you won't feel so burnt out! I know I've gone through my planning rampages and lulls. Don't worry!

Thank you all ladies....I think I am going to take a break from planning. FH is wonderful since he balances me out and calms my nerves. Maybe I just need a rest until late summer and then I'll continue the process. Thank you all again for letting me vent.

i dunno about relaxing till summer girl... haha just take one step at a time im loving everything im doing with my fiance right now we go to look at everything together...and enjoy every process we try to make it fun as far as our wedding we are paying ourself how?? dont ask me haha but we take it one day at a time we stress out so many times scream at the top of our lungs but in the end we cant live without each other.. dont wait to long cuz in the end u will have to many tasks and wont know what to do first just do everything slowly and have fun look at alot of brides magazines ..and LIwedding blogs :) thats why we are here now get movin chick ;)
