DH's cousin got engaged almost 2 years ago ( a few months after we did). We just got an Invitation in the mail for their Eparty in June!!! I found it really odd that they are deciding to have an Eparty 2 years after they got engaged

I guess I am just frustrated b/c we have soooo many events to go to for DH's family this year!!!! I have my SIL's shower next month, a wedding in June, an engagement party 2 days after the wedding, a wedding in July, a wedding in sept & a bridal shower a week after that... so on and so on all the way until November!

we waited a long time because there were other family events going on, and there just wasn't time to do our e-party and we didn't want to take away from anyone else's wedding (both of FH's brothers got married last year).
when is there wedding? maybe they planned a long engagement and didn't want to do an e-party, then wedding 3 years later or something?

That could be. I don't think the wedding is until 2007. ETA. I just never heard of having the Eparty so long after the Engagement. I thought its supposed to be for people to congratulate you and to celebrate when it first happens. DH's other cousins got engaged and had their eparty less then 2 mos later.

Its odd but maybe they were planning a long engagement. But I think it would be stranger if they had their e-party right away, then waited 4 years to get married....JMO
