Tacky no, but If you were looking for something they might be able to wear again after the wedding, this isn't that type of dress.
I think its pretty and the color you like it great for the fall.

I think it's pretty, but I wish that picture showed the front of the dress. The train and flower are detachable, so that might make it more re-wearable.

I don't think it's tacky but I do agree, they may not be able to wear it again. I LOVE that designers dresses though & will be looking at some other styles for my girls. Have you priced them yet? I'm afraid to look!

I agree too.
My BM's bought Jim Hjelm dresses. Every bridal store quoted me at $230+...RK Bridal quoted me at $179 and Netbride quoted me at $164...so we went with netbride. They have been a pleasure to deal with thus far.
ETA: Of the 2 dresses, I favor the JH more.

I like the first one but personally I don't care for the second one. You have to like it though, it's your wedding and hopefully your girls end up liking it too.

I really like the first one. Tacky did not come to mind *at all* As for the 're-wearable' bridesmaid dress, I think we all try really hard (as did my friends) but you go with what you and your BM's love. It's your day and you'd do it for them too :)

I love the first gown!!! I like the mini-train (which could be cut-off during alterations if you don't like it).
You don't mention looking for a dress the BM's can wear again, but I wouldn't worry about it. Most people know going in that probably won't happen.

I think they are both beautiful. as for the price you can try them on in a bridal salon and then order them from houseofbrides.com. That's what i did and i saved my girls alot of $$

I like the first one better but thats just me. IMO I prefer the materail & designs from that designer & am not familiar wih the 2nd one. I think they are both beautiful though.

I think they are pretty. They are very simple and nice. The tacky BM dresses are the ones that scream Puffy 80's flash back. Like the one Rachelle from Friends wore. Your dresses are a perfect style.
