My Florist just called me. I didn't even have to call him! He just took off close to $400 from changing from High to Low.
I feel much better now...
(Think he read my post? LOL)

im paying LESS for 10 low CP and I have more family and bridal party than you... Also I can use ANY FLOWERS and itll be the same price.
Keep looking!!
UGH! I already booked with him. And now I'm thinking he is really overcharging me.
This is with Flower Barn too!
And I went back yesterday to ask him to help me with my Candelabras for the other tables and now he is even charging me even more because he has to get the candles for them and something to raise them higher with.
You could always back out and just loose your deposit. How much did you give? He sounds like a place I went too that wanted 2300 for the same exact thing that I am getting for almost 1200..can you believe that..

Re: Is this Quote too much for flowers?
It depends on the location and the amount of labor that is going into the CP's and BO-K's and the season of flowers. If the flowers you chose are out of season, and elaborate details are going into your flowers, the higher the florists are going to add to your invoice. Your quote does sound overpriced. I spent $2300 (booked with a Manhattan florists) 75 Corsages, Brides BO-K, 4 BM's BO-K, FG flower pins, Groom's and GM's Boutonnieres, FOB/FOG (Total of 7), MOB/MOG& Grandmother's Wrislets, 13 low CP's, 1 branch CP with crystals and orchids, 5 low CPs for cocktail hour, 1 tossing bouquet. Even my quote was overpriced. You can definitely get a lot more for the quote. Shop around and compare quotes and see other florists pkgs.

Flower Barn quoted me a very high price, I was surprised b/c i thought their prices were reasonable. You should try Burtons or Flowers & Designs by Gina. I booked w/Gina and she great, she really works with your budget....

I'm so sorry to hear that, try to see if you can push them to include more for your pkg. If it's a basic contract that just outlines your # of flowers/arrangements, let them you want to include some changes to your contract. For ex. addl' embellishments to your BO-K's/CP's at no extra cost, tea light candles/voltaires incl with the rentals, FG petals incl. with basket, etc. Try to throw things in there w/o having them add in surcharges or hidden fees.

I went there yesterday to tell him I wanted Low Centerpieces instead of High. And then I asked him to help with my Candelabras. He is going to buy the Candles and something to raise them with. he told me it's going to cost me more $$. I told him I because I was going from High to low I thought I would save and he said no, because my lows are pretty big.
And now he has to charge me extra for the candles for the candelabras.

Even if the low centerpieces are pretty big, why would the cost go up from a high centerpiece? If you provided your own candles, would it make a difference to him price wise?

Re: Is this Quote too much for flowers?
You put down a 600 deposit!!?!??! My deposit was 50!! 1800 is still not THAT bad for flowers... dont feel too horrible... Your still under 2k which is not so bad... If you cant get out of your contract all you can do is make the best of it and dont stress it too much.

I would be turned off by him. Just for the fact that since you booked with him he should be working with you on the price not trying to charge you for every little thing.

Seems like a lot. I'm getting about the same amount of stuff as you, and my quotes ranged from $1150-$1300.

He actually just called me back just now! Sorry Mike if you are reading this.
He actually took $325 off since I went from High to low.
