Im getting really frustrated with this whole wedding planning thing! Me and FH are paying for our wedding and we found the photographer WE want to use and its $3,500 and everyone is telling us that is alot of money. And we have gotten a few suggestions for photographers from people that are around $2,000...but their work doesnt compare.
Is $3,500 alot of money for photography?? its the most important vendor to us. Whats the average price for just photo? Thanks!

3,500 is a basic price for good work i agree with you it is the most important vendor it captures all your memories thats one vendor i dont mind spening alittle extra on.

For me that would be alot... B/c max I want to spend is 5k for photo and video together
It depends on the budget you are working with! That might not be alot to someone whose spending like 100k on their wedding ya know?

It depends on what your budget is and how much it's worth to you for a great photographer. My family thinks 1500 is the cost of a photographer but, after researching prices of great photographers with great pictures, personality and reviews... 3500 is around the cost that I received for photography

It's more than what mine cost... but if you love it.. go for it.... I can't even talk about money considering there is no budget on my wedding... and im spending like im trump.... it's really sickining

We didn't use the photographers that quoted us 3500 because then there wasn't enough in our budget for video after that

Who are you using and what are you getting?
Mine is more than that but we are getting alot for what we pay for! For 2009 i would say that's an average price.

Twelfth night (for photo: $1850 - $2750) Infinite Images (I know photo & video cost $4400 for a girl on here)

Im using the Lavender Bridal Studio for pictures only,,,, then Im using Glenmar for Video... the 2 packages together are costing $$$$$ It would have been cheaper to get both through Lavender but I really liked Glenmar's video

Not at all! That'w what most packages start at and they go higher from there. It is all about what you want to get out of your photography experience.

i don't think its a ridiculous price or anything but i personally hope mine doesnt end up costing that much.. but a photographer is one of the most important vendors so if this is the one you love and you can afford it, then i say go for it

My mom thought I was crazy when I said how much I'm budgeting for it, shes like 'Gina... do you know how often I look at my wedding pics??' The have been collecting dust in the closet

our photographer is around that, and he's amazing, and totally worth the money.
all the photographers we met with gave us a quote in the same area.
It's a lot, but it's not a lot in wedding terms...

you can totally do that. I have an amazing photographer if i may say so myself, and we booked our video through him as well. We had the same budget as you and totally got it. FM if you want details!

Check out Infinite Images and Velvet studio and 12th night and duet but, I say if the photographer is great spend the 3500 and just budget really well on video I heard Timeless treasures for video is inexpensive. Is that 3500 for photo Thomas paul??.... If it is then I say go for it, his work is greatttt

i think that 3,500 might be alil high but i think you can found some just alil lower then that. I called and spoke with a photog and it was 3,500 and the videog was 1,500 extra if wanted with your package. did you check to see if photog adds the videog in with it?
