Both me & one of my coworkers recieved flowers for Admin Professional Week (whatever it's called these days). Anyway, they are both beautiful arrangements.
Her arrangement has Lilies in it though and I HATE the smell of them. She put the flowers towards the back of her cube which is where I face (there is a divider between us).
I am seriously sick to my stomach right now over the smell. I thought it was coming from my flowers but I sniffed them and it's not, it's her. I confirmed it by sniffing her flowers (I know insane but it's been driving me nuts!).
She offered to move them to the open area which is away from me but I feel bad having her remove them from her cube. I mean she should be able to enjoy her flowers too right?
The thing is they are behind her. Mine are right next to my phone so I'm looking at mine all day. She doesn;t see hers unless she turns around. Is it really rude that I ask her to move them.
I feel bad, she's such a nice lady but I'm going to throw up soon if I don't do soemthing about it!
Would you think it's really rude if someone asked you to move YOUR flowers because someone was getting sick?

didn't she already offer? If so, then I think it's fine to take her up on the offer

I'd rather move my flowers than have someone puke in the cube next to me!!!

but then she won;t be able to see them. I know I'm being a little crazy but I really feel bad. She's so sweet.

Good point!
I don't think it's rude at all - so many people are really sensitive to the way flowers smell. Besides, she can't see them anyway, where they are now, right?
Hopefully she will take them home with her tonight so you don't have to deal with this tomorrow!

I know they can be really strong and smell like a funeral home. I would ask her nicely to move them into an open area. Maybe she can take them home with her? It was nice of her to ask you to begin with so she probably will be fine with it. Heck maybe she doesn't like the smell either but is displaying them since they are from your boss.

Take her up on the offer. My mom was EXTREMELY sensitive to scent and would have bad allergy/asthma attacks sometimes as a result of being around certain perfumes or beauty products. I think it is nice of her to offer.

It's the Funeral Parlor thing, it's that smell.
I just asked her, she was like 'oh my goodness, of course, I feel so bad. Let everyone enjoy them out here. Is that better?'
She's really nice, I just felt bad asking her to move something of hers. I'm not usually sensitive to anything but those lilies are gross.

The day is almost over. She can enjoy them on the train ride home and she can enjoy them in her house all night.

You should give her yours to keep by her desk instead.

I offered She said no, that she couldn't really see her's anyway because she they were behind her and that when anyone walks by the open area they'll say 'what pretty flowers' and she can show them off.
