I just spoke to one of my potential vendors. I am looking to book musicians for my ceremony and cocktail hour. I was quoted $1500 for a band trio that will include a saxophonist, keyboardist, and a vocalist. I was told that the trio would play approximately 15 songs.
Is $1500 reasonable or too expensive?

I didn't look into bands so I may not be the best person to give an opinion... but that seems like a LOT of money for 15 songs. $100 for a 4 minute song??

I think it's too much but I didn't price out trios.
We're getting a steel drum band (four members) for about $750.00...
eta: and that's for 1.5 hours.

I am not doing this but that does seem like a lot. That's $100 per song, I would look around a bit. Good luck

Sounds pricey to me. We're having members of our reception band do a jazz trio for our CH. They are charging us an extra $375 (but they'll already be there and have all their equipment)

I looked into that option and it was less than that. Seems a little expensive.
