I told my Officiant that we wanted to print up programs for the ceremony, this is the outline of what she sent me...
Invocation Welcome Foundation Questions Of Intent Reading Blessing and Exchanging Of Rings Vows Rose Ceremony Unity Sand Ceremony Marriage Creed Prounouncement Benediction
She's writing the ceremony, which will be very personal so we haven't seen it word for word yet, I think this outline sounds a bit more religious then what we wanted but I also don't think that we shouldn't make changes without seeing what she's come up with. FH disagrees, shocker!!
Does it seem more religious then spiritual??? It also seems kinda long for a 30 min ceremony but maybe it's just me

It sounds like mine...Spiritual...What makes it religious or spiritual are the use of scriptures and certain blessings. If they are use it's considered religious.

The content is what will make it religious or spiritual not the order of service. Also each section will not take much time at all. It seems like a lot but it will fly by!

nah, that's not religious... Ours is, and it's chocked full of prayers and the old testament
Sand and rose ceremony are just spiritual ceremonies... they have no basis in any religion....

I totally agree with this. Also it WILL fly by! It sounds like a lot, but it's not.

That would be music to Fh's ears. Don't get me wrong he's very into this whole wedding thing, was actually his idea and not mine. I just know how nervous he'll be standing up there in front of everyone and will probably be thinking 'can someone get me a friggin cocktail already'

I absolutely agree.... ours is a relogious ceremony and its like
opening prayer old testement rdg responsorial psalm new tstmt redg gospel rdg prayer of the faithful and so on and so on.....

i would wait to see what she comes up w/, since this is very little info to go on! and then talk to her about how youd like to tailor it more to you and fh's needs/wishes.

I totally agree, That's just what I told FH when she sent it to me , let's not jump the gun until we see it.
Ok so it's more spiritual then, that works for me. Thanks for all the input , it really is appreciated.
