OK, feel free to be honest... I'll include a poll for your honesty...

would this be unacceptable for a wedding ring? i realize it's not traditional, but I just love the ring . . .

what do you think?

ETA: i realize you can't see the picture THAT well.. but it's a gucci ring so that small engraving going around it is the Gucci Gs symbol, and then a round diamond. It goes all the way around the ring like that...

I voted I don't know. I think it's really cute but personally I think it's too trendy for a wedding ring. I wouldn't want my wedding ring to say 'Gucci'. But that's me. If you like it then go for it.

It's definately not your 'traditional' wedding ring, but if you love it, that's all that matters! I think it's pretty!

You're right, it's not traditional. But the most important thing to remember when buying your ring is that it's YOUR ring. It's going on YOUR finger for the rest of YOUR life. So get what YOU want and be happy!

there's no where you can see it bigger online . . . I orginally saw a very large picture in a magazine and it just struck me with it's simplicity... I don't know. Maybe I'll take fh to Gucci this weekend (YES we have one near Orlando -lol) and see how it looks... that's prob the best way to tell.

I know it's kinda on the trendy side, but then I thought, well, Gucci will never go out of style anyway - lol - i just love it because i think it's simple and elegant and it wouldn't take away from my E - ring... but I think I'll have to go see it in person to see if the Gucci G's stand out to much... I don't want anything not subtle.

That's the only way you will know if you like it w/ your e-ring

It seems a though it will easily pass as a wedding ring because it's very simple and you can't even tell what's engraved on it from a far, but it won't be the kind of timeless thing you'll pass down through generations. You may outgrow having a label/logo on such a sentimental item.

As long as you like it... that all that matters!

I definitely need to see it in a store to make sure that the logo is very subtle and not noticeable from a distance. I definitely want something different and simple for my ring though, and I just thought this one was both those things. It's the only type of ring I don't know anyone that has one(ETA for a wedding ring I mean).... I don't know, I just like things to be unique to us... FH and I are both 100% italian, that is one reason we liked the Gucci idea (not for the logo - wink wink)... We'll see when I see it in person.

I say go for it...the most imporant thing about a wedding ring is that you love it which will make you want to wear it always. It's definetly band like so I really don't see why not!

i can't beleive so many people said no! What matters is that you like it. It could be a plastic ring from a gumball machine and I would have said yes - it's the meaning behind it, not how fancy or sparkly, or traditional it looks.

Go for it.

If YOU love it, then go for it.
