since i am paying alot for my wedding i want to enjoy it .. i was thinking of sending out a seperate invitation to family to come a little early so we can take the family pic(i do not want to be bothered all night taking pictures i want to enjoy myself)
or should i just bother them during during cocktail(my is an hour & a half)

how many people need to come early? Could you just let them know to arrive early?

well my fam pic would be about 15-20(im only doing aunts uncles and cousins(im not going to do the extended fam its too much) my fi fam pic is about 40 maybe more they do this pic with everyoneeeeeeeee in it 4th and 5th cousins aunt's uncles it's crazy

I took most of the pictures before the wedding and asked family to come early to do so. I don't think it is rude at all... they will probably be happy to do so because they want to enjoy your wedding too!

How about inserting a little extra note in their invitation to only the people you want and maybe say in the note: the Location/Time and any other details of where picture will be taking place.
