is this rude or not?

is this rude or not?

i need to be at the RH with the bridal party at 9am ready to take pictures ... I offered for my BMs to use my hair & makeup people (hair & m/u is optional for them) and all 4 of them want it done. I also need myself + 3 others for a total of 7 people plus myself.

In order to get everyone ready by 9am, we would need two hair people and possibly two makeup people (which means i need to book more people) and would STILL need to wake up at 6am (give or take)

Anyway, can I just tell the BMs that I can't fit them in without waking up ridiculously early so they should find their own person (or just do it themselves)?

Is that rude?

wow, sorry this came out a bit long ... thanks for reading

I think it's fine if you tell them to get it done on their own

if you already told them they can use them then i wouldn't tell them they can't bc you don't want to wake up early. makes you sound like a whiny biotch

ITA. if you didn't say anything from the beginning, then it would be okay but since you already mentioned it, it doesn't seem right just because you don't want to wake up early.

Hmm... I don't know. I think I would see about getting some one else first, only because you have already told th girls.

If you already told them you were going to have someone there to do it, I would try and find another person. It is really hard to find someone to do hair and makeup for one person that early in the morning but if you have a few people you can usually get someone to come out.

honestly, i think that when BM's agree to be in the bridal party, then they are agreeing to be on board with the whole schedule of events for the wedding. Barring any extenuating circumstances, the girls should make themselves available to get ready whenever you need them to, even if it means getting up at the crack of dawn IMHO. So no, not rude - just necessary!

Let them know early to they can mentally prepare themselves!

well, there are other complications as well like the fact that i would need to find more people to come in AND the fact that my mom suddenly decided she doesn't want people getting ready in her hotel room (which was the plan from the start!)

Ok so then I guess so what is right for you? You asked if it was rude or not to offer something then retract it, and I personally think it is a little bit. I don't know the other circumstances behind it, just what your OP stated.

if you want them to use someone else, i would find someone close by in teh same price range with the same quality for them

i wound up asking my girls not to use my person, because it was becoming very complicated and i dont think she could have done everyone. so i did ALLLLL of the research and wound up finding a salon 5 minutes away that was open early, could handle everyone at the same time, and was less money. i even made tentative appointments for them.

i think if you have a SOLID plan B and explain the reasoning, its okay. but if you just tell them 'oh btw, no, cuz i dont want to get up early' that is a bit ridiculous.

i know im in a wedding next month, and doing the research of a place to get my hair/mu done that is near the girls house is stressful enough. if i had originally had one plan and that was changed last minute so i had to do the research myself late, i would be pissed!

Since you already offered, I would say you should try and find additional people to do hair and make-up. JMO

did you ask your hair/makeup people if they have anyone they work with like an assistant to help?
