is this tacky??

is it tacky to get invitations through a company so they look all fancy..but then have a DIY inside explaining the weekend events like the RD and all that...

thats what i was thinking..i just dont want to send 2 thigns out..postage is pricey..plus..i dont want everyone calling me all at once asking me what to do and where to show up and all that

Not tacky at all! DIY puts your personal stamp on it, and makes the event more meaningful.

i think itll be fine!

im going to (eventually) price out invites to see if its cheaper to completely diy or to get them done.

is there anyway u can get the invite place to throw in those extras for free or for like nothing??? it doesnt hurt to ask...unless u really just want something diy to make it special

Just match the style as closely as possible. Go to papermart and staples to match the paper color or feel,etc. Then just try to match the fonts and the layout. Its really not that hard trust me! If you run into a problem and need a font i have about 1k fonts available. The only problem is most of mine are mac so its a hit or miss.

But deff. no not tacky at all. I am doing it!

there are actually some websites that have these made..i guess i could have them done..id much rather get them then mess up an important thing
