Is this tacky?

Do you think its tacky to send out christmas cards with our wedding picture before sending out a thankyou? We are sending the thankyou's out alittle after..my mom thinks it is..I don't see why

I don't think it's tacky, but I think your guests will be confused... I would want my Thank you to be the first time they see my wedding picture.

Cause if you send a wedding pic as your holiday card then by the time your Thank you's come out it' won't be as effective.

If you did engagement pics, maybe make one of those your Holiday Card??

thats a good idea..but they were taken in the summer..so that may look funny!

I would send out the thank you's first. Your guests will be looking for them.

I don't think it's tacky. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but then thought that guests might get confused cause they'd get a Christmas card first with our wedding pic, and they might be thinking 'hmmm is this a combo Thank You and Wedding Card,' or 'why did they send out a Thank You Card with a wedding pic before sending out Thank Yous'. So I decided to use a pic from our honeymoon instead. This way when I send the Wedding Thank Yous, it will be the first time they're getting a wedding pic of us.

I was thinking our card might look silly too because our honeymoon pic is from Hawaii so we look all tan, and it's sunny. But we wrote on our card 'Merry Christmas Hawaiian Style', haha. So I think you could use an Engagement Pic from over the summer.

sorry kristin, but in all honesty - since it has been 4 months since the wedding i have to say that its not 'tacky' but as a guest i would think its a little weird; for lack of a better word

if you have your thank yous; i would definitely send them out either first or together

thanks I ditched the wedding photo idea..I agree with all of you! it is a little weird..and unfortunately I can't send out the thankyou before the christmas cards..because they are still making our thankyous! So I think I may just use an engagement pic..thanks for all of your help!

people know that you wait for pics to send out thank yous; so if you send out a pic and its not a thank you it would be a little weird
