Again, trying to cut corners. We are doing OOT bags as a nice gesture. We were going to order canvas bags at $14.95 for 12, but today I found really nice gift bags for .79 each. Would putting all the stuff in a gift bag be cheap looking?

not at all! I am going to use plain white ones and put a sticker of our monogram and the date on the front with a little 'Thanks for coming!'
You could also tie a bow around the handles...
There are ways to dress it up and look classy.
Or maybe try gable boxes - those are really neat.

I think that will be fine, because I don't think your OOT Guests will be expecting anything, so what ever you give them it will be a nice surprise!

I really don't think so. Anything you do is a great gesture, I don't think you can go wrong with gift bags.

I went to the dollars store in Huntington (near the DMV) yesterday and they had a lot of bridal type paper and cloth bags. They also had tissue paper. I think it is fine to give a paper bag. You could get one of those silver pens and personalize the bags with the recipients name.

In the scheme of things, save the money, I mean once they use the stuff in the bag, what do they need the tote for? I'm using the cheaper bags myself..

I don't think that would be cheap at all....FH and I plan to use gift bags and I was thinking today that maybe we could stencil something cute on them, like our names and the wedding date and some kind of design....
Besides OOT bags are an added bonus....people should be happy to receive anything!
