Is this too emotional and sad??

My mom past away 2 1/2 years ago, and I was thinking of dancing with my grandmother (her mom) at my wedding to There you'll be by Faith Hill... do you think it will be too depressing? Here are the words..

Yea, I bawl like a baby everytime I hear it... as a matter of fact I'm crying now as I listen to it......but I also feel like being sad is a part of missing her, so why should I hide it? Ya know? I just dont know if it will put a damper on my wedding day....

That gave me chills, definitely use it, what a nice song to remember her by. I would cry the whole time though...so sorry for your loss.

If you are like me you are going to bawl no matter what song you play. I cried the entire time I was dancing with my uncle, and it wasn't a little tear her and here, I was bawling! I say use it.

I will be honest. My friend played a very sad song that he danced to at his wedding with his mom. It is 'Christmas Shoes' You probably heard of it. I actually had to leave the hall for a while because my mom passed away Sept 10, 2002 and that song makes me so sad now.

It is emotional and sad, but it's beautiful and meaningful and a wonderful way to honor your mom.
There will not be a dry eye in the house, but I bet everyone will feel special for witnessing such an intimate moment.

We used this song as a dedication to my husbands deceased parents. Yes it was sad but it was so meaningful and we are so happy we did it! First my husband danced with his aunt (fathers sister) and finished dancing with his older sister. It was such a nice touch and a wonderful, perfect way to remember them on our wedding day.

I definately say do it! It will mean so much to you and others there. Good luck!

This is a beautiful song and it would be a touching and fitting tribute to your mother. I would use it.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm crying right now. I think it is a beautiful song. It pays tribute to your Mom and your Grandma, and why not make them both a special part of your wedding? I think it's perfect.

I say do what feels right. The song seems perfect and I think that making your mom part of your day is beautiful. Although, I am sure her spirit will be there anyway.
