is this too much black.

so Im having a lot of black and white in my wedding. my bms are wearing black and the gm are wearing black and white tuxes, invitatins are black and white etc....
but I didn't really want my mom and fi mom wearing black b/c I thought my wedding would look like a funeral. but of course does anyone listen to me. NO
so thats exactly what color they picked. my moms has some tan in it. but fi mom and my grandma both have black. is my wedding going to look like a funeral?

i have everyone in black, including both moms. i do have some hints of lavendar w/ the gms shirts and my father's....

you can bring out more color w/ your flowers. my flowers are purples and off whites

it wont look like a funeral, dont worry!

Do you what you could do to brighten things up, have the BMs wear a spring shawl thats lavender. Maybe have your mom wear one in a different color, the same with the inlaws and grandparents. Also the flowers will help too. Especailly if your men are wearing boutiners.

No I dont think your wedding is going to look like a funeral. Plus, so many people wear black at weddings anyway lol Black is classic and their dresses will be a different style so don't stress. There will be other colors involved too. Like others said, you can use flowers to bring in some color.

Maybe it'll be too much black for the pictures, but I don't think during the reception that EVERYONE in both parties & your mom & mil, & GRANDMA are going to be standing side by side the entire time. If it's not too late, maybe the bridesmaids dresses could have a light colored sash or shawl. I was in a bridal party in June 05, and the dresses were black strapless with a magenta/fushia ribbon that tied into a little bow at the side hip. It went with the flowers that were different shades of magenta/fushia. I understand your concern, but I don't know if I would stress too much over it. You'll be so consumed with your new Husband & how excited you are to be the beautiful bride in the spotlight, that you'll forget what Grandma & the groomsmen are wearing. I hope everything works out for ya! Keep us posted!
