Do yout hink it would be too much chocolate if I have a chocolate cake (on the inside and the oustide) and a chocolate fountain???
I pick my cake on Saturday. FH loves chocolate, so I was going to do a cake with chocolate on the oustide, but it dawned on me this morning, it may be too much with the choclate fountain too.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

You should def give your guests an alternate option to the choc cake. I hate choc!!! I would be dissapointed if I couldn't have cake!

Maybe you can just get a sheet cake in vanilla as an option for the other guests.

Re: Is this too much Chocolate????
Does your catering hall offer another dessert? Westbury Manor gives us the wedding cake, another dessert, and then we are adding on the choc fountain.
If that is available to you, hy not make the dessert a nonchocolate one?

Re: Is this too much Chocolate????
Are there other options that the waitstaff wouldn't ahve to go around and ask 'choc of vanilla?'
If you're having a Vinesse or Mini - i'm sure there are other alterantives.

I did both. No problems at all. But I also had a lot of other non-chocolate desserts.

Hmm..could you maybe have a cake with choco inside and white outside, or vice versa?

I think u should give your guest an alternate opt to the chocolate cake. Perhaps you can have vanila or something else for your wedding cake

Re: Is this too much Chocolate????
I agree that you definitely can have both chocolate cake and fountain, but please do try to offer something other than chocolate to the guests for dessert. Some people don't like chocolate and some are even allergic (a good friend of ours is).

Don't worry about it, just make sure that the dippers for the fountain can be eaten by them selves.
Cookies, fruit, white cake.

Re: Is this too much Chocolate????
we are not doing chocalate cake for similar reasons... we are having full viennese table with a lot of sweets, cakes and chocolate and I felt it was just too much... we are having vanilla custard cake...

Re: Is this too much Chocolate????
There is no such thing as too much chocolate! LOL
But if you must, for those allergic, definitely have wafers or cakes and fruit with the chocolate fountain (which I'm sure you will anyway)...for the most part chocolate/chocolate cake is great! YUM!
