Re: Is this too much time?
supposedly it's not proper etiquette to send invites out too early. but it's your wedding, do what you want. i'm sending mine out 2 months before b/c mine is on a holiday. did you already send out STD's? why did you want to send out invites 3 months in advance??

Re: Is this too much time?
This is totally personal....and its up to you.....
Sometimes it depends on your situation. The usual timing is 8 weeks prior to the wedding date. RSVPs should be requested by one month prior to the wedding date.
However, if you have an A list and a B list (people on the B list are when you have a numbers limit, and if people on the A list (priority list) say no, you can now invite the B list, then A list invites go out 10-12 weeks, so that B list can go out 8 weeks.
I hope this helps!!!! (i know its sort of confusing)

well part of it is because I just want the RSVPs to start pouring in as quickly as possible ...but also because my wedding is going to be about 1 1/2hrs away from most of my family members so I would like to give them enough time to think aobut it and shedule to take that day off from work...

I dont think so, thats when we are doing it so we have time to call the ones who dont RSVP and get the B list invites out
us too! fh wanted to send them earlier though. i think 3 months is fine. especially if you have oot guests.
