FH and I want to honor our reletives who have passed away (all of our grnadparents and my uncle) so I pieced together a few poems from ones I found on here. Is this too sad to have in a frame next to the vase that will have 9 roses in it?
In Loving Memory
We thought of you with love today But that is nothing new We thought about you yesterday And days before that too We think of you in silence We often speak your names Those we love don’t go away They’re with us everyday Unseen, unheard, but always there Although it seems unfair Your memory is our keepsake With which we'll never part God has you in his keeping You're forever in our hearts

JMO- i think it's 'too much' - WHile I dont think its bad- you dont want to take away from the happiness of the day... maybe something less poemy???( if thats a word)

I like it alot. I think its really nice to remember the ones that passed and honestly, whether the poem has 5 lines or 9 lines, its not going to distract from the happiness of your wedding, IMO!

I think it is beautiful. At my brother's wedding, the Rabbi made a short speech recognizing those we have lost. I haven't even thought that far ahead about what exactly we'll be doing, but definitely something. Wow, you girls are so on top of things, I read these everyday, but all I've done is book my RH!

I think it is fine especially if it is just going to be displayed, I would not, however, read it aloud, because then it would be too sad IMO.

Oh I know! No, it will not be read, just displayed in a frame next to a vase with 9 roses in it
