i am getting a little nervous about our $$ situation and have been having thoughts of pushing back our wedding by 6 months. i dont know if the 6 months will make a huge difference, but it would mean a couple thousand extra in the bank. not to mention i am a little sad i didn't go for my first thought of a fall wedding. i've already done all of the booking stuff:church, hall, music, video, pics, limos, so i dont even know if its possible to change. should i just forget it and plan to borrow the difference or charge it!

it might be too late to switch the dates back, although you could always call up vendors to find out..... if you really need money its probably better to borrow from family instead of Credit cards just cause if your ever late you wont get penalized so much(maybe mom or dad can help you on this)
hope it all works out for you

I switched my wedding date - 4 months FORWARD! - and all the vendors I had booked up to that point were free so they all moved the date for me - for NO COST! Call and see when they are all available. If you are flexible with the dates, I'm sure it could work!

If pushing your wedding back 6 months puts your wedding in the winter months, you may be saving money on your hall. However, since you already booked a reception hall, and am thinking of going to a new hall, you may lose you initial deposit on your original hall. Though it doesn't hurt to find out.

You could try to change the date, but if you can't you could do what we did. We charged it, then transferred the account to a no interest card (no interest for one year). there are plenty of cards like that and as long as your credit is good and you are sure you can pay it off in a year you should be fine.
