We are getting married in Nov. Is it too much to ask that FI go to tanning salon or something similar prior to the wedding? Do guys ever go to these? I think he'd look much better with a tan. He's really white, esp compared to me. HAHA.
Just wondering.

What is that way of tanning called- where it is a spray or something? I think Jennifer Aniston has one in her house. I heard that works well- my friend did it and it came out well. Does anyone know how much it costs?

Steve and I both went tanning before our wedding. I don't see why they wouldn't go Just ask them they may surprise you

MY FH usually doesn't like to go tanning (it's not macho or something like that ) but he is going to go before the wedding since I love to tan and he doesn't want to look pale next to me.

Just suggest it to him gently, but if the wedding is not until November, he probably doesn't need to start until August.

we are gettong married in nov and i know fh will not be tanning - he hates the sun and hates getting color during the summer let alone in a tanning salon!!!

he's letting you give him facials- jenny2penny! that's so great! i want to do something w/ fiance's eyebrows. ha.
well, i've never gone to a tanning salon myself but i think it would be cool for him to be tan.
why does he need to start in august? can he not go just once before the wedding? i'm confused.

yes! i want him to get a manicure! but i don't think he'll want to go a a place with women staring at him.
so if he goes in august, does he go a 2nd time? if not, will it not fade?
what about that mist that doesn't have uv? you strip and stand in this room with jets that shoot at you?

you could ask him, but alot of guys wouldnt want to go.. and its november which isnt the summer season of tans.. maybe one of those tanning creams that he can wash off afterwards??

I am paranoid about my tan lines. I tan very easy. My wedding is in Novemebr. It's now May and I still have tan lines from last summer. I have to be very carefully with any type of strap. I need to shape up and invest in some tube tops for the summer.

I don't think it's a bad request. If you guys go to the beach a lot during the summer you may just want to ask casually if he is going to try to keep up his tan for the wedding. The idea may never have crossed his mind.
If he doesn't usaully tan though - I would think asking him to go now is a little strange.

I don't think it's a bad request. He will have to go more than once, though, especially if he's pale. I haven't gone tanning much, but in college, I worked in a tanning salon. People used to come in once or twice a week to build up their tans. One session doesn't usually do much (at least, it never did for me). I don't know about the spray booth thing. There are, of course, sunless tanning creams, sprays, etc., but I've never found one that looks really natural.
I think August is unneccesarily early, though. Again, I haven't done it much, but I'd say that he should expect to go about 4 times. What do the rest of you think?
