I know a lot of girls say they forgot to put a 'no' option. So, does this cover all my bases:

RSVP

Mine was blank...I just had the wording no lines of
will attend, wont attend. I don't think there is a correct or incorrect way of doing it. But yours looks good

I have read and heard from many friends who did something similar...the 'number attending line' that this is a really bad idea b/c some people take it upon themselves to put 3 attending when you only invited 2 people. People will think they can bring along their kids or whatever if you give them the option to fill in how many are attending. SO after hearing too many nightmares about this...I left that part out and just did what is in your original post. If I'm just inviting 2 people and they respond yes I expect only 2 are coming unless they write otherwise (if only 1 can come or something). Just a tip. I just read this in a silly ettiquette book last night - said it is totally inappropriate to use the # attending line!

oh yeah, distinguishing the ceremony and reception is especially important for reception halls/venues that charge you by the chair!

yeah, it's not unheard of, $5/chair can add up! :)

Re: Is this what an RSVP card is supposed to look like?

yeah, i thought about leaving that out too, but i also heard that if you leave a blank line at all:

ie:

M ______________

people will also try to squeeze in names. :( so I added the #s attending and if they add more than the names on the invite, we would at least know to prepare to call 'em on it. :)

So, should it just be:

RSVP

And just count the number of people as the number that I invited, instead of leaving it up to them?

I'm doing that exactly...same wording. But they will also write in their names...like Mr. and Mrs XXX. If say the Mrs. can't come b/c she is due to give birth right before then so only Mr. will come (I have a lot of these) then they will just write in Mr. XXX and you'll know it's just 1. I think that's fine.
