So, as I'm sure some of you remember, FSIL and her fiance live in Germany. We have just sent out our STDs, but we did not send one to them. We are seeing them next week when we fly out to Ohio (they will be in town) and I was thinking of just bringing it with us then...that way we can save on the postage and I won't have to figure out just how to actually mail something to Germany.
Is that screwed up? I don't know if that's something to legitimately get offended over...personally I would not be offended, but I'm not a good barometer.

I dont see why they would be offended, its not like they aren't getting one! Just tell them you were excited for them to get it and wanted to show it to them when you saw them....it would take a few weeks for it to get to Germany anyway!!!

I dont think there is anything wrong with that. when are u sending all of the STD's? I think that is nice to give in person, and then say something like 'we wanted to give u in person, instead of thru the unpersonal mail'

There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing that. If anything, it is more personal.

We sent them out last Wednesday, but I think they are leaving some time this week to come to the states so maybe we can just say that we wanted to make sure it got to them and we had no idea how to send it to Germany haha

I dont think that anything is wrong with that. I am hand delivering some of mine because I see some of the people everyday so don't see why I should mail something to them when I bump into them daily anyway.

I don't think theres anything wrong with hand delivering it. Half of my family lives in Germany, I am mailing their STD's. If you ever need to mail them something, just put like 3 stamps on it and address it to them regular and write 'AIR MAIL' on the front of the envelope. More times then not, it only takes about 5 days to get to them. HTH!

I hand delivered STD's to our parents and all of our siblings. No one thought anything of it.

I dont think so. If they were to be upset by that, I would be very confused!!!!! I think its fine that you chose to give it to them in person!
