Is Woodbury Country Club really closing? *Official Response from LIW* They are not closing!
Hi! I'm a newbie here and I've been searching threads on WCC, and have seen that there is a rumor about it closing. I'm having my wedding there on August 22, 2010 and am worried. Does anyone know if this rumor is true? My BM made no mention of this.
ETA by Client Services: LIWeddings confirms that Woodbury Country Club is not closing. They actually have a homepage ad on our site. This is just a rumor that I have confirmed is not true.

Not in the next couple of years...whatever plans they were considering, have been extended until 2012 at least.

I went to look at woodbury country club the person I met practically rushed me through everything. I had a tour discussed menu and everything in about 15 minutes. I was pretty annoyed. I immediately scratched it off of my list

I went to look at woodbury country club the person I met practically rushed me through everything. I had a tour discussed menu and everything in about 15 minutes. I was pretty annoyed. I immediately scratched it off of my list
Wow I'm surprised. They were really friendly when I went there. They served us a whole fruit, cheese and vegatable platter and were very patient. Maybe it depends on which BM you saw. I had Jeff and he was amazing.

Wow... really? Sorry you had that experience.
We showed up unannounced, tired after visiting several places in the area....there was a wedding in progress and they still met with us, gave us a tour and a tasting from the CH of the wedding, served us wine, cheese in addition to the apps. That was before we signed with them. Our first meeting lasted almost 2 hours. I loved that there was a wedding in progress which allowed us to see them in action. They have been nothing but professional and accommodating and I love how they time manage it all.

As far as I know they are NOT! I spoke to my Banq manager. and he said they keep making little renovations and dont have any plans to close. There was an article that someone else posted on here where the owner said they were not.

Aww im also sorry that you had a such a bad experience. I loved them too. They even offered us some cocktail hour food so that was nice and of course it was yummy.
