Re: Is your FH supposed to...
Now that you mention it, mine didnt!! I think some bring flowers but I don't think it's really necessary. The gifts are for both of you anyway!

Mine brought nothing - he high tailed it out of there faster than I could say good-bye!

Re: Is your FH supposed to...
It's funny you ask that bc I've been wondering the same thing. My last two cousins who got married were given gifts at their shower from their fiance. One of them was given a diamond bracelet and one was given diamond earings. Personally, i dont want him to waste a lot of money right before the wedding. I dont know what my fiance is planning on doing...but i think its nice just when they send roses. (I've also seen this done) I guess it depends on what your fiance can afford.

Re: Is your FH supposed to...
It all started because i mentioned that one of our friends FH bought her a toilet seat for a shower gift. It was a funy joke, but they are remodeling their home and she kept forgetting to pick up the toilet seat when they went to Home Depot. So he surprised her with it at the shower. It was really funny for all of us that knew the joke, but everyone else was just confused.

Re: Is your FH supposed to...
Are you asking of your FH should bring a gift to YOUR shower? I don't think so. I mean, 3/4 of the stuff is for the both of you anyway.
My opinion, no.
Besides.. why would he be at the shower in the first place?
I KNOW you are not having a Jack and Jill :-)
Tell him to save his money and buy you a really nice wedding gift :-)

Re: Is your FH supposed to...
It's not necessary since in some way, he is also a recipient of the shower gifts others bring. But you don't have to tell him that. Let him think he has to give you a gift. Hee hee...just kidding. He does not need to bring a gift and I've never heard of a fiance doing that.

I have never heard of a FI bringing a gift to his FI's shower but most of them do bring flowers.

Re: Is your FH supposed to...
I've never heard of a FI bringing anything to your shower. I wouldn't have thought of it since most of the gifts are for the both of you. We are considering not even doing wedding gifts to save money...

Re: Is your FH supposed to...
I don't think this is necessary but i have been to a few showers where the groom wrote out a nice card to the bride and it was very sweet...admist all her gifts and opening was a loving note that surprised her..i think it should be more of an if they think of it type thing than they have to...
