FH and I are Avergae Joe and Jane and I like it that way. I used to go after guys who were way over the top and I needed my dad to help me realize that I needed an average guy. Granted FH does have some well above average traits (as do I) but we are normal people, not extremists.
first of all...a lot of people they picked to be average...weren't average at all...IMHO...
second...the hotties and pretty boys to me...not my style either...
where are the average guys?
as for looks...it is VERY subjective...I had a professor once...who was not considered society's version of 'hot', but he was so intellectual and thought provoking that I used to get a little flutter in class.... what a geek I am...
the night I met DH we had a very thought provoking conversation...plus I thought he had a cute butt

june262004--that is my point! every one of our FH's is above average (in our hearts at least) you know what i am saying?! i wasn't seriously asking if everyone thought their significant other was a hottie or not. understand??! it just annoys me. the whole concept. and doubly because i cant stop watching!

I can't stop watching either...I really like the show. HOwever, I really think it was mean to introduce the 'hot' guys into the mix.

me too! my FH is the cutest person i've ever seen in my life! funny story. last summer he and his friends were all hanging out at one of their pools. and they all had on their swim trunks (can't think of what you call them) and their round white bellies...and it was just soooo cute!

I am addicted to the show too...I was excited to see that they were using average people (or so we think)....but to the rest of the world, my FH is probably average...but he's like Adam....he always makes me laugh and knows how to cheer me up. And I don't care what anyone else thinks, in fact, when I first laid eyes on him, I thought he was a druggie...tall, very skinny and dark circles under the eyes and he was dressed like a skater!! It wasn't until our friends hooked us up and we began to talk that I found out who he is inside and how amazing he is!

LOL Poor Jim.. he's no 'hottie' by anyone's book. I'll admit I wasn't so sure about him myself when we first started dating.. but he has the most wonderful eyes.. (stupid I know) and frankly, he's just so cute to me. I know people look at him and blow him off like there's no way im with him..that annoys me.
Once this guy actually hit on me with Jim standing RIGHT THERE. Jim handled it well, just sorta one of those Kiss & grope 'hey baby lets walk over there' sorta moves. But I was shocked.
I love my honey bunny, heh.
Hottie to me implies one which all drool over.. and frankly Im glad he's no hottie. he's all mine!

By America's standard he would be an average Joe, in my eyes and my heart he is a hottie.
Erica I had a crossed eyed English Teacher in HS that gave me butterflies as well.
